Window Film Installation Guide
Transforming your space is simple with Artscape. Our window films apply easily using just water and a little soap. With a few thoughtful steps, you’ll achieve a custom, design-forward finish that adds privacy, beauty, and light.
How to Measure
Include a 1/16” gap between the film edges and the window frame (inside the gasket).
How to Install
- STEP 1:Clean the glass
- STEP 2:Measure your window
- STEP 3:Trim the film to size
- STEP 4:Spray glass with soap solution
- STEP 5:Remove backing
- STEP 6:Apply film to your window
- STEP 7:Spray the film with soap solution
- STEP 8:Squeegee out any bubbles
- STEP 9:Wipe off excess moisture
How to Tile
Artscape can easily be cut or tiled together to fit any size window. The pattern repeats left to right and top to bottom on the factory edges. Each sheet is one repeat.

Having visited many a historical British property while on vacation, we wanted to try to capture some of the magic in our more contemporary home. Since a real leaded glass panel would have run us up to nearly a grand per window, (and we have 12 of them to cover), this was the next best thing. Unlike other brands, this came in a long enough roll to cover a 50"+ tall window. Application was easy after we did the first couple (the trick is to use a tiny bit of dish soap in water and spray the window up a lot, which enables the film to slide around and be positioned nicely). A squeegee was also useful to push out bubbles. The area now looks great, and we can walk around privately without being seen by the neighbor, whose windows face these directly, or by landscapers and delivery drivers.

We recently had hurricane windows and doors installed. The garage window and door needed something, and I did not want blinds. These were perfect - they let in light, obscured the indoor view at night, and look beautiful! Years ago, I used a different style of your window film at an another home and knew of the quality and beauty Artscape offers. You did not disappointment. I am a happy repeat customer.
