There’s a shift happening in interiors right now. Homes are becoming softer, slower, and more intentional. Instead of stark minimalism, many people are leaning into spaces that feel warm, personal, and rooted in comfort, a little more traditional, a little more cozy, and filled with vintage charm.
Our new Cottage Collection was created in response to that shift.
At Artscape, we wanted to explore what cottage-inspired wallpaper could look like through our own lens: timeless patterns, welcoming color palettes, and designs that support everyday living. These wallpapers were envisioned for rooms that feel lived-in and loved. Kitchens filled with conversation, reading corners layered with softness, and homes designed for slowing down. It reflects the growing desire for interiors that feel grounded, mindful, and enduring.
Historical Inspiration Meets Modern Cottage Wallpaper
The designs in the Cottage Collection are inspired by historical textiles and vintage wallpaper patterns. We sourced references from the 19th and early 20th centuries, studying delicate florals, hand-carved woodblock prints, and heritage motifs that once defined classic interiors.
From antique French wallpaper to archival prints, each design conveys a sense of history, thoughtfully refreshed for modern homes with updated colorways, refined textures, and cleaner lines. Rather than replicating the past, we reimagined it.
The result is a collection of traditional wallpaper designs that feel nostalgic and current, styles that naturally blend into today’s homes while maintaining timeless appeal.
Soft Color Palettes for Cozy, Inclusive Interiors
Color plays a big role in how a room feels, which is why we focused on soft, inviting tones throughout this collection. Each palette was chosen to feel calming, inclusive, and easy to live with, making these wallpapers versatile across different design styles.
Imagine:
- A cozy breakfast nook layered with morning light
- A kitchen designed for comfort food and gathering
- A quiet reading corner that feels restful and grounding
These wallpapers are designed to create an atmosphere without overwhelming a space, adding texture, rhythm, and character in subtle, lasting ways.
